District 58—Where I Call Home
District 58—it’s where I was born, where I was raised, and it's where I call home.
I’ve had the opportunity to see District 58 transform from a small, quaint, farming community, into a regional hub for education, healthcare, and commerce. Since announcing my candidacy, I’ve had numerous people ask me “Ken, why are you running for office? Do you not know what you’re getting into?”. My answer: I’m running for office for one reason, and one reason only: to serve. District 58 has served my family and me well for many years, and now, I believe that it’s my turn to give back. District 58 deserves a representative who will be their voice—a voice of reason in state government that will tackle bureaucracy and overreach that hinders economic growth and prosperity of its people.
President Abraham Lincoln once said that “The legitimate object of government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done, but cannot do at all, or cannot so well do, for themselves – in their separate, and individual capacities." I believe in small government, not a non-existent government, and not an overbearing government. I believe in a government that respects the rights of its people, including the 2nd amendment and the right to life of the unborn.
As you place your vote on March 3rd, it is my hope that you would consider placing your vote for me, Ken Yarbrough. God bless.
